Registration is slated

for E.B. rec day camp

In-person and mail-in registration for the East Brunswick Division of Recreation Summer Day Camp began Monday. Applications and at least one-third of the seasonal fee will be accepted and processed, if space is available, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the recreation office, 350 Dunhams Corner Road. Balance of payment must be received by April 3.

Brochures and applications are available at the recreation office or at the East Brunswick Library, Jean Walling Civic Center.

All-day camp programs for grades 1-10 will be located at various township schools beginning June 26 for seven weeks. Half-day programs begin on the same date for six weeks.

Registration for public

school kindergarten set

South River Public Schools will begin kindergarten registration in March.

Registration packets may be obtained from 9:30-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. on weekdays beginning on March 14 at South River Elementary School, Johnson Place. At the time of pickup, appointments may be made for a physical examination with the school physician.

The packets must be completed and returned on the following days: March 21, last names beginning with the letters A-M; March 30, last names N-Z.

Registration will not be accepted unless accompanied by an official birth certificate, completed immunization records and a physician’s certificate of recent examination.

To be eligible for enrollment, a child must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 1 and both the child and parent(s) or guardian(s) must have proof that they are borough residents.

Accepted forms of residency verification include: current tax bill or receipt; mortgage statement; rental agreement or lease; contract to purchase a home; notarized letter from a landlord or property owner; and property deed. ‘Rosie to Roosevelt’ set

at Monroe Twp. Library

"From Rosie to Roosevelt: A Film History of America in World War II" is scheduled over several weeks this spring at the Monroe Township Library.

The program schedule is as follows:

"The Home Front" — March 9;

"Women Join the Work Force" — March 23;

"Japanese-Americans and World War II" — April 6;

"The Double V: African-Americans and the War" — April 27;

"America and the Holocaust" — May 11.
