Seminars focusing on the fastest growth market segment, adult communities, are expected to be among the most heavily attended events of the upcoming Atlantic Builders Convention at the New Atlantic City Convention Center, April 5-7. And with boomers entering their 50s by the thousands each and every day, demand for active adult housing shows no sign of abating.
"Adult Marketing 2000 — Ten Trends to Follow for the Successful Active Adult Community in the New Millennium," kicks off the workshops at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Participants will learn the hottest trends from industry experts who have planned, designed and merchandised successful communities.
On Thursday at 11 a.m., "The Active Lifestyle Communities — the Five Stages of Marketing," deals with creating a strategic marketing program for such development. Four panelists cover crucial areas to gaining marketing success and a competitive edge.
"The Ten Secret Ingredients in Selling the Active Adult Home Buyer," at 1 p.m. that afternoon, reveals the steps to understanding the prospect and successfully presenting the product. Experts will discuss advertising and marketing; product and design; and hands-on experience with this market segment.
The Atlantic Builders convention is the largest trade show in the Northeast, drawing 7,500 visitors from a six-state region, featuring 475 exhibits and 35 seminars. Attendees include builders, remodelers, subcontractors and related construction trades.
