Authorities react rapidly to temple incident

The Jewish War Veterans wish to thank the Monmouth County law enforcement officers and officials whose criminal investigations led to the rapid arrest of the two men who (allegedly) desecrated the Congregation B’nai Israel synagogue in Rumson.

The words of the song from the show and movie South Pacific "you must be taught to hate," is still true.

The Jewish War Veterans Monmouth-Ocean County Council, led by Michael Winnick, a decorated 1st Infantry Division combat veteran of the Vietnam War, is congratulated upon its continuing policy to offer cash rewards for the arrest and conviction of anti-American criminals who commit religious bias crimes against the synagogues, institutions, homes and individuals of the Jewish faith.

The many local Jewish War Veterans posts in this council are currently actively supported by its members who served in combat during the Gulf War and Vietnam War, as well as its combat veterans of the Korean War and World War II.

All members of the Jewish faith who have served, or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces, the Reserves, or the National Guard are urged to actively help a J.W.V. post in our efforts to fight anti-American bigotry in New Jersey, as well as to give needed help to our less fortunate military comrades, by calling (732) 431-1514.
