Wall Street Journal political columnist Paul Gigot will serve up tender morsels of insider information to those attending the New Jersey Builders Association Board of Directors Award Luncheon during April’s Atlantic Builders Convention.
The 51st annual convention on April 5 7 expected to draw 7,500 participants to its 35 educational seminars and 450 exhibits at the new Atlantic City Convention Center. Sponsored by the New Jersey Builders Association, the three-day trade show annually attracts a broad range of building industry professionals from a six-state area lured by seminars on building codes and environmental policies to marketing and cutting edge construction technology.
Gigot’s overview of the latest moves this active political year is scheduled for the 12:30 p.m., April 5 luncheon. He is a member of the editorial board and writes Potomac Watch, a weekly political column for The Wall Street Journal. He appears weekly as a political analyst on the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and periodically on NBC’s Meet the Press and CNN’s Late Edition.
Gigot joined the Journal in 1980 as a Chicago reporter. In 1982, he became the paper’s Asia correspondent and won an overseas Press Club award for his reporting on the Philippines. In 1984, he was named the first editorial page editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal. Gigot, a summa cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
