National social workers deserve recognition and praise for work

Life-changing events such as an extended medical condition, family event or personal trauma can leave the individuals and family members left with unresolved mental and physical issues.

Those issues are oftentimes worked through with the help of a professional social worker who offers support and guidance during and after the difficult days.

This month we join with the National Association of Social Workers in honoring these outstanding health professionals. Their dedication to quality health care is remarkable and commendable.

Every day, more than half a million social workers meet with and provide support in enhancing the well-being of individuals, families and communities.

Since 1962, the month of March has been set aside to build awareness for the commitment of the profession to outstanding public service in making a difference in our daily lives.

We ask that our friends and neighbors join us by saying thank you to New Jersey’s social workers who are so needed in today’s society.
