PATERSON NOTED BY PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY

George Paterson Jr., president of of Paterson & Associates Inc., Shrewsbury, has been recognized by the American Institute of Chartered Property Casual Underwriters and the CPCU Society for qualifying for the Continuing Professional Development Program.

Paterson is a past president of the Central Jersey chapter of CPCU. He resides in Little Silver with his wife Nancy. He is also active in the Freehold Rotary Club and has been involved with the Lombardi Awards Dinner sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Monmouth County for the benefit of the Cancer Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

LIBRARY OFFERS FREE INCOME TAX HELP

Free volunteer income tax assistance will be offered every Monday from noon-4 p.m. and every Thursday from 2-6 p.m. through April 17 at the Red Bank Public Library. VITA volunteers, trained by the IRS and the New Jersey Division of Taxation, help people with basic tax returns. No appointment is necessary.

To facilitate the preparation of the returns, taxpayers should bring with them this year’s federal and state tax packages if received in the mail; all forms showing income, such as W-2s and 1099s; information on other income, deductions, and credits; and copies of last year’s tax forms.

A selection of federal and New Jersey State tax forms and publications is available at the library throughout the tax filing season during regular library hours.
