HIGHTSTOWN Josephine Isabel Dawes, 93, of Hightstown passed away Monday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Lakewood, Mrs. Dawes was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hightstown for 84 years, having joined in 1916. She was a self-employed retired antiquarian.
She is survived by her great-nephew, Kenneth J. Dawes, Jr. of Lawrenceville and her great-great-nephew, Kenneth J. Dawes, III.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 385 Mercer Street, Hightstown. Rev. Robert S. Coats, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hightstown officiated.
There were no calling hours.
