Marie McDermott died Monday at Saint Barnabus Medical Center in Livingston. She was 61 years old. Mrs. McDermott was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Staten Island and Somerset before moving to Lawrenceville 15 years ago.
Mrs. McDermott was a past communicant and member of the Altar Rosary Society of Saint Matthias Church in Somerset. She was a communicant of Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church in Lawrenceville.
She is predeceased by her mother Mary Collins in 1995 and a brother John Collins in 1992.
Mrs. McDermott is survived by her husband of 37 years, Richard, of Lawrenceville; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Michael DeMott of Lawrenceville; three sons, Robert E. and his wife Kelly of Springfield, Kevin G. of Denver, and Michael J. of Lawrenceville; and three granddaughters, Olivia DeMott, and Shannon and Kaitlyn McDermott.
A funeral mass was offered Friday at Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church, Route 206, in Lawrenceville. Interment followed in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
