Dorothy Early Ivins
HIGHTSTOWN — Dorothy Early Ivins, 93, died Tuesday at home.
Born in Hightstown, she was a lifelong resident. She was an assistant librarian at Hightstown Public Library, retiring in the 1940s.
She was member of the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown; Order of the Eastern Star, Hightstown Chapter; and the Autumn Club.
Wife of the late Lawrence Ivins, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Merwin and Anne Ivins and Barry and Peggy Ivins, all of Hightstown; a sister, Louise Kollmar of West Windsor; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be noon today at Crabiel Memorial Funeral Home, 202 Stockton St., Hightstown. Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

David Whitman
HIGHTSTOWN — David Todd Whitman, 32, of Hightstown, died May 31 in Great Falls, Montana, from injuries sustained in an airplane accident.
Born in Princeton, Mr. Whitman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hightstown and a 1986 graduate of Hightstown High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during Desert Storm. He served on the USS Midway, Yokusuka Japan and then the USS Enterprise, San Diego, Calif.
Upon his release from the Navy, he attended and graduated in 1998 from Auburn University, with a degree in aviation management. He was employed as a flight instructor for Embry-Riddle University, Daytona Beach, Fla. More recently he was employed as a pilot for Continental Express, Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Sherry Whitman of Hightstown; his paternal grandmother, Lorraine Lehnert, his paternal great-grandmother, Loretta McCarfthy both of Scranton, Pa.; his paternal step-grandmother, Jean Whitman of South Boundbrook; his maternal grandfather, “Sonny” Nelson of Gresham, Oregon; his son, Devin Hourin of McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.; and his sister, Karyl Lynn Whitman of Minneapolis, Mn.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. June 14 at the First Baptist Church of Hightstown, 125 South Main St., Hightstown. The Rev. Robert S. Coats and Rev. Suzanne Schafer-Coates will co-officiate. Interment will be private.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family 10 a.m. to 10:45 Wednesday in the Gold Room of the Eaches Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Hightstown.

Harvey Ewald
EAST WINDSOR — Harvey H. Ewald, 88, died May 8 at The Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Hutchinson, Mn., he was a longtime Trenton area resident. He was a mold maker with Trenton Potteries before retiring.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Ewald was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Trenton, and Trenton Kennel Club.
Husband of the late Elizabeth F. Ewald, he is survived by a stepson, John W. Hopper of East Windsor; three brothers in Minnesota; and nieces and nephews.
Private burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
Joseph F. Boreiszo
VERO BEACH, Fla. — Joseph F. Boreiszo Jr., 85, died Monday in Cranbury.
Born in New Brunswick, he was a longtime Milltown and Bound Brook resident before moving to Vero Beach in 1981. He was a chemical engineer with Merck & Co. and a civil engineer with Levitt & Sons and K. Hovnanian Co.
Mr. Boreiszo was an Army veteran of World War II and served three years in Assam, India, as a second lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the East Brunswick Kiwanis Club, New Jersey Lodge 324 and various planning boards and organizations. He enjoyed music, dancing and sports.
Son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Helen Musnycki Boreiszo, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie Potter Boreiszo; four daughters, Dianne White of West Windsor, Janice Cox of Alpharetta, Ga., Joanne Elvins of Kingham, England, and Dale Watten of Winchester, Va.; and six grandchildren, Carey and Craig White, Sarah Elvins and Adam, Jonathan and Neal Watten.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at A. S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury, with the Rev. Edward Struzik of Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury. Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until service at the funeral home.
Joan B. Knutson
HAMILTON — Joan B. Knutson, 68, died Monday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Hightstown, she was a longtime area resident. She was a school teacher in Texas and East Windsor and past executive director of Hightstown-East Windsor Chamber of Commerce.
Daughter of the late Prescott F. and Grace W. Barrett, wife of the late William H. and sister of the late Robert, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey W. and Kara Knutson of Warner Robins, Ga.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Laurie K. and John C. Hunter of Washington Township and Tammy L. Knutson of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Lauren Clare and Gregory B. Hunter and Mechela Lynn and Eric P. Knutson; nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are by Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown.
Jeanette Reeves
CRANBURY — Jeanette Reeeves, 79, died June 2 at home.
Born in Hightstown, she moved to Cranbury about two years ago. She retired from McGraw-Hill Publishing Co., Hightstown and was a member of St. James Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Vernon and Melanie Reeves of Willingboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Karen R. and James R. Bell of Cranbury and Jill Reeves of Hightstown; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers-in-law, Frederick Reeves of Hightstown and Robert Fulton of Howell; a sister-in-law, Patricia Reeves of Hightstown; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Douglas C. Mook
EAST WINDSOR — Douglas C. Mook Sr. died June 2, at The Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Metuchen, he lived in East Windsor. Mr. Mook retired in 1973 after 35 years as an assistant secretary for Exxon, New York Citry.
Father of the late Douglas C. Mook Jr., he is survived by his wife, Harriet H. Mook; a son, Ted H. of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, a brother; three grandchildren, Charles H., Douglas W. and Donald C. Mook; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral and burial were private.
Marlene Moskowitz
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Marlene Betesh Moskowitz, 72, died Monday at home.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Newark and Irvington before moving to Virginia Beach in 1989. She was a receptionist with Rotwein and Blake in Union for 15 years before retiring in 1988.
She was a member of the Order of the Golden Chain, Elizabeth.
Wife of the late Morton Moskowitz, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janis and Charles Warznak of East Windsor, and Carolyn and Paul Cole of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Morris Betesh of Aberdeen, Charles Betesh of Dumont, and Nathan Betesh of Connecticut; a grandson, Ryan Cole; and two stepgranchildren, Nathan and Kimberly Cole.
Funeral was Thursday at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapel, East Brunswick. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick.

Kathleen Hillibush
EAST WINDSOR — Kathleen Bavais Hillibush, 51, of East Windsor, died Tuesday at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.
Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Hillibush resided in Cranbury before moving to East Windsor seven years ago. She was formerly employed by Papel Giftware in Cranbury. Mrs. Hillibush was a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth B. Hillibush, Jr.; her mother Alice Fiorito of Union; two sons, Jack Campbell, Jr. and David Campbell, both of Edison; one sister, Jodi Fiorito of Union; four grandchildren, Nikki, Kalya, Christopher and Jack Daniel Campbell; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at A. S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown. Interment will be private.
Relatives and friends may call today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. A Christian Wake Service will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be made in y to a charity of the donor’s choice.
