Steve Bates is the managing editor of The Lawrence Ledger, a position he has held since November 2000. Prior to that, he served as news editor for the South Brunswick Post and The Cranbury Press, a Packet Group Publication. He is a graduate of Steinert High School in Hamilton and The College of New Jersey in Ewing, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and professional writing.
Lea Kahn has been a staff writer for The Ledger for 15 years. Prior to that, she reported for the Hillsborough Beacon, a Packet Group publication, as well as newspapers in Georgia and South Carolina. She is a graduate of Princeton High School and C.W. Post College. She earned a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. Lea covers all municipal and school district meetings, special events and also writes features for The Ledger.
