The New Egypt Elks Handicapped Children’s Committee will sponsor a benefit golf tournament at 12:30 p.m. at Gambler Ridge Golf Club. Hole sponsorship is available for $30. The entry fee is $80 and includes greens fees and refreshments. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

The Washington Branch, Mercer County Library will begin its summer reading program. Children ages 2-15 are invited to "Watch Time Fly…Read." Reading, weekly prizes, grand prizes, and library decorating are all part of the fun. Participants may register through Aug. 7 and the program ends Aug. 12. The Allentown-Upper Freehold Recreation Committee will sponsor the annual fishing contest from 9 a.m. to noon at the Allentown Mill Pond. Prizes will be awarded in several categories.
The Washington Branch, Mercer County Library will host a show featuring the "Magic of Joe Fischer" at 7:30 p.m.
Children ages 6 and older are invited to enjoy an evening of magic, comedy and excitement. Registration is required. Call 259-2150.
Teen Night for kids age 11 and older will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the Washington Branch, Mercer County Library.
Participants will enjoy an evening of food and fun. Bring a black or dark blue T-shirt and make a "celestial T-shirt." Registration is required. Call 259-2150.
The Washington Township Arts Council will hold its second annual coffeehouse at the Washington Township Senior Center.
The evening will feature the 3D’s, who perform the music of Cole Porter, Gershwin and other classics, and folk singer Karen Young. Those of all ages are welcome to attend.
Donation is $7. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., at which time dessert and beverages will be served.
