HOWELL — Police have updated the number of tire slashings that occurred overnight on June 7-8 in the Ramtown section of the township.
Police initially reported that tires on 24 cars in Howell and 24 cars just over the border in Brick Township had been slashed during the evening hours of June 7 and early morning hours of June 8.
Howell police updated that figure late last week and said a total of 42 cars had been vandalized in Ramtown on June 7-8.
Additional tire slashings reported the morning of June 8 included six cars on Roberta Drive; two on Western Drive; five on Sunset Avenue; three on Wilson Avenue; and two on Oak Terrace.
Howell Police Capt. Bryan Ehret said police have no leads or suspects. He said the matter is being investigated and the area is being watched.
