Police investigating
incendiary devices
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — Police are still investigating the case of two incendiary devices found in the backyard of an Alexander Avenue residence. Author-ities responded to a home on Alexander Avenue at 6:47 p.m. June 25 after a resident called police to report the presence of the items. A police report described one as a "Molotov cocktail-type device" and the second as a "fist-sized object wrapped in brown paper." The state police bomb squad was contacted and residents in the vicinity of the devices were evacuated. The devices were recovered and brought in for analysis. As of June 29, police had nothing new to report on the incident.
