RiverCenter welcoming members, community

Look at it as a chance to get to know SID.

In this case SID is Red Bank’s Special Improvement District, known as RiverCenter, which will be hosting a Community Open House on July 12 from 4-8 p.m. at its headquarters at 36 Monmouth St., second floor of the Amboy National Bank building.

The public is invited to meet members of the board of directors, the staff, business leaders and volunteers. There will be refreshments provided by downtown restaurants and an opportunity to ask questions, discuss the downtown and the plans for the future.

Earlier in the year, when the board of directors polled the membership and established priorities, topping the list was outreach to the community, thus the open house.

"It’s truly an open house in the traditional sense," said Michael Warmington, board member and chairman of the event.

"I’m most interested in getting the community’s response to the improvements downtown and what they would like to see in the future," RiverCenter’s Executive Director Tracy Challenger said.
