The 2000 Cougar Basketball Camp, directed by Lou Piccola, will be held at Colts Neck High School. The camps, which will run daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., are for boys and girls ages 7-14. This year’s schedule has the girls’ camp run from July 10-14 and the boys’ on July 17-21, and again on July 24-28.

A complete staff of high school coaches and players with previous camp experience will put a primary emphasis on basketball fundamental skills through group and individual instruction. Piccola, the varsity basketball coach at Colts Neck, was the head coach at Xaverian High School for 16 years and led the Clippers to two New York State championships. His 1981 championship team featured Chris Mullin, who went on to All-America fame at St. John’s University and currently plays for the Indiana Pacers, who played for the NBA crown this year.
