NEW BRUNSWICK — The 36th annual Rutgers Gardens Open House will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 29 (rain or shine) at the gardens, east of the Route 1 and Ryders Lane interchange, New Brunswick.
Highlights will include tours of the Donald B. Lacey Display Garden, gardening lectures and programs, an "Ask the Expert" clinic, "What’s New in Rutgers Gardens?" tours, landscape plant sales, a butterfly release and special children’s activities. Food may be purchased for a light lunch and snacks. Admission is free of charge. Voluntary parking donations will be accepted to support the gardens. For more information, call (732) 932-8451.
