On behalf of RiverCenter’s board of directors and the task force volunteers who planned our recent Open House, thank you to everyone who attended this event. On July 12, more than 350 of you took time out of your busy schedules to stop by the office for our open house. Thanks to you, this event was a huge success! You gave us overwhelming positive support and we’re pleased to know you are proud of the volunteers who are working so hard on our downtown. In fact, the most commonly asked question was how you could lend a hand and become involved in RiverCenter. Thanks.
Red Bank’s residents have always played a prominent role in the revitalization of downtown Red Bank. In many ways it has been Red Bank’s neighborhoods that held us together during the tough times. Our residents are our customers and business clients, our friends and neighbors. We are proud to be part of the Red Bank community, and proud that one-third of our board of directors live in Red Bank.
On July 12, we also launched our Web site, www.redbankrivercenter.org. Many of you filled out a survey response form to give us your ideas. We would like to see the site evolve based on visitors’ feedback. So please, visit our Web site and e-mail us your thoughts. We are looking forward to more suggestions.
We would like you to know that two young people in particular were very helpful in preparing for the open house. They are Rob Leacock and Trish Rumola. Working closely with the open house task force, both Rob and Trish worked behind the scenes to create the presentation boards that document over nine years of downtown Red Bank history. Their work is on display at the RiverCenter offices, located at 36 Monmouth St. above the Amboy National Bank. Please feel free to drop by and view this presentation.
We are grateful for your confidence in RiverCenter, and with your support and input will work hard to continue to improve the economic vitality and livability of Red Bank’s downtown.
