West Burlington Street (County Route 662) in Bordentown City will be closed beginning Aug. 14, until the end of November for storm drain and water line improvements.
"This is a cooperative project between the County and Bordentown," Freeholder Vincent R. Farias said. "This project will address deteriorated storm drains and improve water service in this area. Unfortunately, the scope of the project makes it necessary to close the road to allow workers to complete the project as fast as possible."
The project involves 1,600 feet of the road from Farnsworth Avenue to about 400 feet east of Black’s Creek.
Detours have been established, directing motorists to use Union Street, Dunns Mill Road, Route 130 and Farnsworth Avenue.
The county share of the project cost for the storm drain installation is $352,000. The city’s share for the water line improvements is $367,000.
