Groundbreaking plans are underway for a state-of-the-art clubhouse at Lawrenceville Point, a new active-adult community of 88 single family houses in Lawrence Township by award-winning builder Pennington Properties. Anticipating a summer construction, the on-site clubhouse will be an integral part of the community, and the center for social and recreational activities, according to Peter Blicher, president of Pennington Properties, and Central New Jersey Builders’ Association’s "Builder of the Year."
The resort-style, multi-purpose clubhouse will include a fully-equipped, private fitness center; a library with a wide selection of books and magazines; a multi-purpose great room for parties and dances, with a patio overlooking an outdoor putting green for golf enthusiasts; separate meeting rooms; full-catering kitchen, and a crafts room. For residents who want to participate in the community’s diverse cultural opportunities, homeowners enjoy access to Rider University’s academic, artistic and leisure programs through the University’s Continuing Education Program.
The meeting rooms will provide ample space for residents to conduct craft classes, attend lectures, participate in organized clubs. And for those residents who are passionate about their golf game, the outdoor putting green is available throughout the day.
According to New Jersey’s Department of Community Affairs, golf has become the most popular seasonal recreational activity in New Jersey. Twelve private and public golf courses are located within a 10-mile radius of Lawrenceville Point.
The community combines social facilities with low-maintenance single story homes. The new community features a choice of two and three bedroom patio homes with up to two and one-half baths; two-car garages; living room with cathedral ceiling and oversized windows; master suites with walk-in closets; private garden patios with low-maintenance ornamental fencing; and a host of conveniences.
Priced from the low $140s, the houses are engineered for energy-efficiency and comfort with natural gas heat and central air conditioning. The builder offers illustrations and printed floor plans and continues to accept refundable deposits.
Pennington Properties was founded in 1985 by Peter and Bert Blicher and Mark Ellenbogen. In addition to building active adult communities, the company builds custom estate homes eclipsing $1 million at Hopewell Ridge, in Hopewell Township and commercial properties throughout the region.
