MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Mary T. Olszak Bugay, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 17, at her niece’s home.
Born in Trenton, she was a longtime resident and lived in Florida before moving to Myrtle Beach four years ago.
Mrs. Bugay retired in 1970 after 50 years as a seamstress with the former Tony March’s Ladies Apparel store, Trenton.
She was a member of Polish Falconettes Nest 145; Catholic War Veterans Holy Cross Post 417 Ladies Auxiliary; Our Lady of Light Church, Bonita Beach, Fla.; and St. Michael’s Church, Surfside.
She enjoyed sewing.
Daughter of the late Martin and Theresa Lasecky Olszak, wife of the late Chester Bugay, sister of the late Clare Senkowski, Christina Hrabchak, Lawrence and Florizn Olszak and aunt of the late Andrew Hrabchak, she is survived by seven nieces, Susan Knudtson, with whom she lived, Theresa Ciosek of Myrtle Beach, Rose Knapp of Robbinsville, Paula Wolfgang of Muncy, Pa., Clara Wilson of Palm Bay, Fla., Regina Werner of Monroe Township, and Anna Wyzykowski of South Amboy; two nephews, Michael Olszak of Far Hills, and Lawrence Olszak of Littleton, N.C.; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives.
Funeral was from Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets, Trenton.
Funeral liturgy was celebrated at Holy Cross Church, Adeline and Arch streets, Trenton, with Monsignor Thaddeus J. Wojciehowski, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the parish cemetery, Hamilton.
