Mildred C. Easton?Teacher and opera devotee?
Mildred C. Easton of Princeton Borough died Thursday at home. She was 87.
Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Princeton and Lawrence most of her life.
She was a teacher and music and drama coach at the Princeton and Lawrence public school systems.
She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Westminster Choir College in Princeton and Rider University in Lawrence. She studied at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo.
She founded the Friends of the Opera of Princeton.
Daughter of the late Nick and Angelina Easton, she is survived by son Myron Nicolas Easton II of Boston; brother Benjamin Carlucci of Doylestown, Pa.; sisters, Eleanor Borden of Yardley, Pa., and Jean Brown of Toms River; granddaughter, Alexandra C. Easton; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Monday.

Joseph Diviaio Sr. of Princeton Township died Monday at home. He was 92.
Born in Staten Island, N.Y., Mr. Diviaio was a lifelong resident of Princeton. He was a retired heavy construction operator with Local 826 of Newark.
Husband of the late Catherine Diviaio, he is survived by sons Joseph Diviaio Jr. of Princeton, with whom he resided, and Patrick Diviaio of Trenton; daughters Martha Walker of Hamilton and Vinesse Janowski of Trenton; brother Guy Diviaio of Skillman; sister Marie Coleman of New Egypt; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.

Elizabeth Anderson of Princeton Borough died Tuesday at the Merwick Unit of The Medical Center at Princeton. She was 88.
Born in Romania, she was a resident of Princeton most of her life.
She retired from Carter-Wallace, Hightstown.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Princeton and the church’s Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by son George Anderson of Orange City, Fla.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend Irma Dalle Pezze.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Ave., Princeton.

Joseph Henderson of Princeton died Friday of leukemia at the Medical Center at Princeton. He was 56.
Born in Cottonwood, Ala., Mr. Henderson was a longtime resident of Cranbury before moving to Princeton 25 years ago. He was the owner of Henderson Building & Painting of Princeton.
Mr. Henderson was a member of the Metropolitan African-American Chamber of Commerce in Trenton, the Greater Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, the American Diabetes Association and Club 8 Inc. of Hightstown.
Son of the late Fonzo and Gertrude Henderson, he is survived by his wife, Jacqueline A. Fenderson Henderson; daughter Jennifer A. Henderson of Lewisburg, Pa.; son Justin A. Henderson of Trenton; sisters Cora Lucky of Trenton, Elizabeth Kenniebrew of Trenton, Chrysteen Conover of Cranbury and Josephine Cypress of Cranbury; brothers David Rover Jr. of Charlotte, N.C. and William Henderson of East Windsor; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and cousins.
Services will be noon Wednesday at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main St., Cranbury. Burial will follow in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranberry.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service.

Evelyn L. Arcuni of Princeton died Sunday at home. She was 61.
Born in New York, she was a resident of Princeton most of her life.
She was a high school English teacher in New Hyde Park, N.Y., and Ardsley, N.Y.
She graduated from St. Johns’s University cum laude and received a master’s degree in comparative literature from Columbia University.
She was a docent at the Princeton University Art Museum; a tour guide at Drumthwacket, the governor’s mansion; president of the Chappaqua Historical Society in New York; and a member of the Present Day Club, Cherry Valley Country Club and the Whippoorwill Country Club.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony O. Arcuni; son Philip Arcuni and daughter Suzanne Arcuni of Princeton.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton.

HIGHTSTOWN – Elizabeth W. Webster of Meadow Lakes died Friday at home. She was 92.
Born in Iowa City, Iowa, she was a resident of New York City before moving to Princeton and later to Meadow Lakes.
She was a 1930 graduate of Vassar College. Later in life she was a member of the board of the YWCA, the Cosmopolitan Club and the Fortnightly Group, all of New York City.
She enjoyed her family, crossword puzzles, knitting and needlepoint.
Wife of the late James H. Case, Jr. and the late Bethuel M. Webster, she is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Elizabeth Case and Willis N. Mills, Jr., Susan C. and Dr. Richard W. Hyde and Penelope C. and Wendell Davis Jr; step-daughters Elizabeth Hogeland, Clarissa Atkinson and Eleanor Shakin and her spouse Bernard Shakin; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was private.
