MANVILLE — Ellek L. Fekete died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. He was 79.
Born in Montana, N.J., he lived in Manville for the past 63 years.
He was a member and worked for the Laborers Local Union 779 of Somerville, before retiring several years ago.
Mr. Fekete was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Manville.
He was a life member of the Manville Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Fekete; two sons, Frank of Maine and Joseph of Manville; two daughters, Elizabeth Lazowski of East Stroudsburg, Pa. and Cynthia Fekete of Manville; one sister, Theresa Urban of Somerville; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 8:15 a.m. Sept. 8, at Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at Christ the King Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 7 at the funeral home.
