Will be held in Pennington on Sept. 28
To encourage a high voter turnout this year in the presidential election and school district referendum, the Hopewell Valley League of Women Voters is holding a pep rally on Thursday, Sept. 28. The public is invited to attend.
Beginning its fourth decade of service to Hopewell Valley voters, the League will hold the 7:30 p.m. event at the home of Jane Brown, 5 Queens Lane, Pennington. Refreshments will be served. Call 737-2111 for directions.
The League plans to focus its efforts on voting this year by registering voters at all Hopewell Valley Regional School District Back-to-School Nights and other community events. Also they will initiate a Valleywide program to educate children about the importance of voting. With the focus on voter registration and education, key members of the school community are being invited to help the League celebrate at the pep rally this month.
