SOUTH RIVER – Rose Rizzuti Trapani, 75, died Oct. 6 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born in New York City, she lived in Hightstown for 25 years before moving to South River 25 years ago.
She was a seamstress for many years in South River, and most recently worked at Marion Dress. Mrs. Trapani was a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Sister of the late Charles Rizzuti, she is survived by two daughters, Mary Sobon of Florence and Cathy Rodman of East Brunswick; a son, Angelo of Cream Ridge; a sister, Frances Comellari of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Vilma Riozzuti of Ohio; and six grandchildren, Cosimo Trapani, Juliane, Robert and Michael Sobon and Alexander and Charles Rodman.
Funeral was held from Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick.
Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
