At the Oct. 4 Marlboro Planning Board meeting, preliminary approval was granted to construct a 35-home development along Ticetown and Greenwood roads. There will be a construction entrance on Ticetown Road.
It was pointed out during the meeting that Ticetown Road is not wide enough to accommodate all of the heavy truck traffic associated with a construction site. Marl-boro’s traffic engineer agreed. Ticetown Road is dangerous and not wide enough to accommodate truck traffic.
In another jaw-dropping decision, the Planning Board voted to approve construction of this development despite the clear danger. Anyone who lives along or drives on Ticetown Road needs to be aware of this callous disregard for their safety.
To the members of the Planning Board who voted to approve this development: You should hang your heads in shame for allowing the safety of your residents to be compromised.
