City Council briefs

   LAMBERTVILLE – City officials are set to meet with Cottage Hill residents at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 to discuss a drainage project in the community.
   The meeting will be tentatively held at City Hall, 18 York St., but it may be moved to the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad if additional space is needed.

   The Hunterdon County Health Department will be giving flu shots Nov. 1 at South Hunterdon Regional High School.

   The council awarded a two-year contract Oct. 17 to Warren County for waste disposal. Beginning next year, the city will pay $48.50 per ton for trash disposal. In 2002, the figure will be $50.50 per ton.
   Mayor David Del Vecchio noted the figure was $125 per ton when he was elected to office in 1991.
   The council approved a permit to FACT of Bucks County to hold a special event Nov. 19 at the Rago Gallery on Cherry Lane between 6 and 10:30 p.m.
