Projects originated under Manalapan Republicans

I am appalled at the latest Manalapan Democrat Party’s campaign mailer. Only one year in control and they are patting themselves on the back for every accomplishment in Manalapan for the last 15 years, while still blaming all the world’s problems on the Republicans.

This is local government, not the private sector. Nothing ever happens overnight and it takes years for any visible changes to be seen.

It is a fact that the Republicans were in control for 15 years. The Manalapan Arboretum was created more than 10 years ago. This idea stemmed from a Republican-controlled Township Commit-tee working with a bipartisan Shade Tree Commission. It is only this year that the groundbreaking ceremony actually occurred and the project is now moving along.

The Union Hill Road traffic light was requested by the residents of Covered Bridge and helped along by mayors Jim Gray and Richard Frenkiel with funding assisted by Sen. John Bennett, all of whom are Republicans. Once again, the groundbreaking was this year and the job is now completed.

Volunteer organizations such as the Recreation Commission, the Shade Tree Commission and Earth Day/Community Cleanup were all bipartisan. Many high-ranking Republicans worked hand in hand with their Democratic neighbors to make these organizations and Manalapan the success that they are.

Give credit where credit is due, Mayor Stuart Moskovitz and followers, and let’s not forget the people who laid all of the groundwork for the above-mentioned achievements.

Please remember to keep a voice on the Township Committee this November, and vote Republican. The controlling Demo-cratic Committee needs someone to remind them where all of their "achievements" really came from.
