Martin Davis

   MONROE – Martin P. Davis, 83, died Oct. 18 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge.
   Born in Chesterfield, he was a longtime Hightstown area resident.
   Mr. Davis retired from William C. Pullen Fuel Oil Service in Hightstown and worked in the maintenance department of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Hightstown, retiring in 1989.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II.
   He was a member of Knights of Columbus Hightstown Council 6284 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5700 of Hightstown.
   Son of the late William G. and Ellen M. Davis and husband of the late Margaret Davis, he is survived by two sisters, Caroline Applegate of Cream Ridge and Florence Gravatt of Clarksburg; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral will be 9 a.m. Friday at Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.
   Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown.
