SAYREVILLE — A borough woman reported missing on Halloween resurfaced in Virginia.
Jolanta Rutkowska was last seen around noon on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Polish and Slavik Federal Credit Union withdrawing money from her account, according to police.
The 31-year-old woman, who is five months pregnant, was reported missing by her husband around 5 p.m. that day after she did not arrive at work.
On Saturday, her husband notified police that Rutkowska had contacted him from Roanoke, Va.
According to police, authorities in Roanoke confirmed that Rutkowska was indeed in Virginia and there seemed to be no foul play involved in her daylong disappearance.
On Monday, police said Rutkowska’s husband was making arrangements to bring her back to New Jersey.
She may have been having some kind of personal problem that prompted her to leave the state, police said.
Authorities had been concerned because Rutkowska reportedly had been having kidney problems that were associated with her pregnancy.
