BRIDGEWATER — George B. Kinney died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. He was 80.
Born in Branchburg, he lived in Bridgewater for the past 48 years.
Mr. Kinney worked as a truck driver for Pave-Rite in Somerville before his retirement. He also was a truck driver for several other local trucking companies.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 in Manville.
He was a member of the P.B.A. 200 Club.
His first wife, Ida Kinney, died in 1980; and a brother, Frank B. Kinney, died in 1997.
Surviving are his second wife, Teresa Tomko Mitzen-Kinney; a son, George J.; four daughters, Caroline, Linda, Jane, and Christine; three step-sons, Michael and Kenneth Mitzen of Hillsborough, and Robert Mitzen of Easton, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The private funeral services and burial were under direction of Fucillo and Warren Funeral Home, Manville.
