The Middlesex County Fibromyalgia Support Group of the Arthritis Foundation, New Jersey Chapter, has scheduled two upcoming meetings.

The group will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 at the South River Library, Appleby Avenue. The program will feature a care and share discussion. Daytime meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month.

A second meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 at the East Brunswick Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. The event will feature a holiday party with a surprise creative activity to help participants express themselves and their feelings about living with fibromyalgia. Interested individuals are asked to bring a snack and/or beverage to share and a wrapped grab bag gift costing up to $5. The evening group meets on the second Tuesday of every month.

All sessions are free of charge and open to fibromyalgia sufferers and their families.

O.B. veterans group to

mark Pearl Harbor Day

American Legion Post No. 177 will conduct a Pearl Harbor Day memorial service at 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 at the post home, 17 Emerson St., Old Bridge.

The event will honor all individuals, military personnel and civilians, who were injured or lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941. There will be guest speakers and a candle-lighting ceremony.

The public is invited to show its support for the country’s military personnel. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the event.

Photographic society

will hold holiday party

The Raritan Photographic Society will hold a holiday party at 8 p.m. on Dec. 7 at the East Brunswick Library, Jean Walling Civic Center.

The society is made up of amateur and professional photographers who gather twice a month to learn about the art and enjoyment of photography. Monthly photographic competitions are held.

New members are welcome. The public is invited.

Prosecutor’s Office will

offer community forum

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, through a state community justice grant, will offer a free public forum to discuss community problems at 7 p.m. on Nov. 30 at the Victorian Manor, 2863 Woodbridge Ave., Edison.

Participants will have the opportunity to interact with other community members, law enforcement officials, educators and government leaders to address improving residents’ quality of life. Topics such as guns, drugs, gangs and hate will be discussed.

Museum of Agriculture announces new hours

The New Jersey Museum of Agriculture will have new hours effective Dec. 1. The museum is located on the campus of Cook College of Rutgers University, 103 College Farm Road, North Brunswick.

The museum will be open to the public five days a week, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will no longer maintain regular hours on Sundays, and will continue to remain closed on Mondays. (Open "select" Sundays for special events only.)
