Christmas is a time for thinking of those who are a special part of our lives and have a special place in hearts … that’s why Christmas is a time for thinking of you.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for all of your generous efforts and your compassion toward our son, RJ Barkelew. It is nice to know that you keep RJ in your prayers, as we keep you in our hearts.
RJ has been struggling with leukemia and last year underwent a bone marrow transplant. Since then, he has been slowly recovering yet with great vigor, as we have not encountered any major problems.
He truly relished his life. Assuming the normal role of a child, he is now enrolled in the fifth grade at John Adams Elementary School.
He dedicates himself to his schoolwork and has made the honor roll. He also joined the basketball team, and we are happy to see him interact with other kids his age.
He loves to play video games, listen to music, work on the computer and read.
Because of the beautiful people who have helped us out so much, RJ is able to live his life like any other child. For this we are grateful and from the bottom of our hearts, we express our most sincere gratitude. May you experience the warmth of this magical holiday season, and God bless you all.
