The B’nai B’rith Maccabean Unit No. 3373, Marlboro Jewish Center, announced that Harold Lautman of Marlboro has been appointed chairman of its Community Volunteer Services. Working in conjunction with the B’nai B’rith Tri-State Region Center for Community Action, Lautman has started a program of donating teddy bears and children’s videos to children in local hospitals. On Nov. 29, Lautman and Irving Scheps, president of the unit, met with Joan Nealon, director of volunteer services for CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, for the first distribution of the teddy bears and videos. Anyone who would like to donate new or used children’s videos to the program should call Lautman at (732) 972-1701.
