Baseball Factory holding clinic

   The Baseball Factory, Inc will be holding its fifth annual Premier Instructional Winter Camp at the Hightstown High School Annex. The camp will be held on Sundays Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28 and Feb. 4 and 11. The camp is open to players aged 8-18.
   The President of the Baseball factory is Rob Naddelman, a two-time All-Ivy player at the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Hightstown High. Naddelman will be an instructor at the camp. Other instructors are University of Pennsylvania Coach Bob Seddon, Hightstown High Coach John Mariano, Hamilton High Coach Jim Maher, Rider Assistant Coach Rick Freeman, and former Steinert Coach Rich Gialella.
   Players will be broken down in groups based on grade. Those in second to fifth grade will meet from 9-10:30 a.m., those in grades sixth to eighth will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon and those in ninth to 12 will meet from noon to 2:00 p.m. The cost is $190 per player.

PAL set softball, baseball sign-ups

   East Windsor PAL will be holding baseball and softball sign-ups for the 2001 season from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 6, 20 and 27 at the Airport Road Complex.
   PAL is open to boys in girls, with divisions covering individuals from 5 to 16 years of age.

HEWYBL sets baseball sign-ups

   HEWYBL is holding registration for its spring baseball season. Sign-ups are open to boys and girls 5-15 years of age from Hightstown, East Windsor, Washington, Millstone and Allentown.
   Sign-ups will be held from 7-8 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Grace Rogers School cafeteria and Jan. 13, 14 and 20 at the Peddie School Athletic Center. The sign-ups on Jan. 13 and 20 will be from 9 a.m. to noon. The sign-up on Jan. 14 will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
   Individuals should bring a copy of their birth certificate and a check or cash to cover the registration costs.
   There are six different divisions taking sign-ups. The cost for T-Ball (ages 5-6), Rookie (6-7) and Cadet (8) is $55. The cost for the Minors (9-10) and Majors (11-12) is $75. The cost for Babe Ruth (13-15) is $100. The price for Babe Ruth includes cost of full uniform, which player may keep. There is a $10 discount per family for multiple registrations.
Blue Lightning wins tourney

   The Blue Lightning, an East Windsor PAL girls’ travel basketball team, placed third in the CYO Christmas Tournament. The team earned a trophy for their efforts.
   The Blue Lightning won three consecutive games, defeating St. Ann’s of Lawrence, St. Ephram of Bensalem, Pa. and St. Andrew’s of Newtown, Pa. Lexi Cheshier, Kelly Kasper, Katie Hurlie, Kayla Miller and Shalyn Randolph led the way with high scores and assists. Jen Klose, Meghan Mcgwier and Daniellle Guarino helped defensively. This was a great team effort.
