Volunteers, board members making Twin Rivers better

In the spirit of Ms. Neufeld’s letter of Jan. 19, I would like to offer my words of praise to the seven dedicated members of the Twin Rivers board who represent all of Twin Rivers, to the volunteers, to the administrator and staff.
Thank you for taking Twin Rivers from where it was nine years ago when I moved here, to a beautiful and vibrant community. The changes in landscaping and improvements in amenities are due to your unceasing and too often unappreciated hard work and creativity.
Thank you for enduring the libel, character assassination, lawsuits, harassment and threats of those seeking to destroy our community. History has shown that communities and, indeed, entire nations have been saved by those people with the courage and determination to stand up to bullies with deep pockets and shallow intellects.
Our community has improved enormously in the years I’ve been fortunate enough to live here, due to the efforts and hard work of a small percentage of the community, and the kindness and caring of very nearly everyone else. I’m hoping that after the next election our communitywill be free of the shadow cast by a small group of people so desperate to validate their own pathetic existence that they attempt to destroy the lives of their neighbors.
It has been said that the third time is a charm; perhaps in this case the third resounding defeat will prove a charm for our community.
