LETTER TO THE EDITOR

As we sit here, in the middle of winter, my thoughts are actually about the warm lazy days of this past summer.
Our daughter, Meghan, had the great fortune to be associated with the girls’ fastpitch softball team for two out of the past three years.
She has played on teams which won the New Jersey state title for their particular age group, something no team from Bordentown had done.
This was the culmination of months of work. The girls begin in the gym in November and play through august.
Both championship teams were coached by Mike Tunney, Brian Lynch and Marty Temple. These gentlemen are to be commended because they actually work harder than the girls.
The championship of 2000 was followed up by a trip to Delaware for the regionals.
We had only expected to see all of the parents and siblings of the girls at the games. Imagine our great surprise to see several members of the Bordentown Little League Board of Directors at our games for the entire weekend!
We would like to thank Grace Archer and her entire board for their support, above and beyond the call of duty. Bravo!
