Only one candidate files in Delaware

Six file for three seats in Lambertville

No incumbents filed for the three three-year terms available on the Delaware Board of Education.
In fact, only one person filed, leaving two other seats to be filled.
The deadline for filing was 4 p.m. Monday. The vote on school budgets and candidates will be April 17.
George Yeschak filed for one of the three Delaware seats. None of the incumbents — Constance Mitchko, David GaNun and Gail Inkrote — filed for re-election.
Lambertville, on the other hand, will have a six-way race for the three three-year terms available. Incumbents David Moraski, Lori Weinstein and Kathy Semko will be challenged by Elaine Warner, Michele Romeo and Melissa Mantz.
There will be no contest in West Amwell. Incumbents David Beaumont, Kim Bogdan and newcomer Nora Koziel are unopposed for the three three-year terms available. Incumbent Steven Bartzak did not file for re-election.
At South Hunterdon Regional High School, there also will be no contest. Incumbents Alexander Meehan representing West Amwell, Gregory Danese representing Stockton and Patricia Warford representing Lambertville will have no opponents. In addition, incumbent Dr. Carrie Corboy representing West Amwell was the only one to file for the available two-year term. Dr. Corboy was appointed to fill the vacancy created when Leslie Cahill resigned after serving only a few months.
No one was available at Stockton School Tuesday. There are two three-year terms available that currently are held by Rick McDaniel and Lisa Levine.
