Eleanor Hixson Faherty
   Eleanor Hixson Faherty, 85, died Monday at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Paulette Faherty of Skillman.
   A graduate of Pennington High School, she was a resident of Hopewell Borough for most of her life until recently moving to Skillman.
   Mrs. Faherty, a homemaker, was a member of the Hopewell 39ers, Rocky Hill 76ers and Montgomery Senior Citizens. Among her interests were cooking, crafts, reading and traveling.
   Daughter of the late Clarence and Sophie Hixson, and sister of the late Raymond and Arthur Hixson, she was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Robert M. Faherty, who died last June.
   Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Paulette of Skillman; and Robert and Judith Faherty of Ewing; three grandsons and their wives, Robert and Nancy Faherty; TJ and Amy Faherty; and Ty and Lori Faherty; her brother, Charles P. Hixson of Hopewell; four great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Mary Faherty and Theresa Castagnola; many nieces and nephews; and lifetime friends, Winifred Copner and Alice Sutphen.
   The funeral will be Friday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, Hopewell.
   Calling hours will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Cromwell Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St., Hopewell. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Margaret D. Barrett
   Margaret D. Barrett, 85, died Monday at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Langhorne, Pa.
   Born in Trenton to the late James and Angela Zambrella Bolino, and a resident of Lawrenceville for 49 years, Mrs. Barrett and her husband had operated Barrett’s Restaurant in Ewing until 1972.
   Wife of the late William J. Barrett, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Lynn Barrett of Lawrenceville; her daughter, Mary Margaret Brown of Titusville; her grandchildren, Matthew and Elizabeth Brown; and Meg and Abigail Barrett; her brother, Samuel Bolino of Hamilton; her sister, Elizabeth Cardillo of Somerville; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, followed by burial in Ewing Church Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be Friday, 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Virginia Brooks Burton
   Virginia Brooks Burton, 81, died Jan. 17.
   Born in Trenton, she moved to California in 1950, when she married John F. Burton of Los Angeles.
   She served with the Women’s Army Corps in Germany during World War II and at Walter Reed Army Hospital, where she worked in occupational therapy with returning veterans.
   Daughter of the late Harold Fisher Brooks and Emily Malla Virgin Brooks, she is survived by two sons, John and Richard Burton; two daughters, Pamela Burton and Virginia Whitehead; and two brothers, Fisher Brooks of Titusville, and Phillip Brooks of Medford.
   A memorial service was held at her home Jan. 20.
Cora Richel Picaroni
   Cora Weislogal Richel Picaroni, 70, died Friday at home in Alpine, Calif.
   Born in Elizabeth, she was a resident of Alpine, Calif.
   Mrs. Picaroni was a secretary and a homemaker.
   She is survived by her husband, Anthony Picaroni; a daughter, Karen Richel of Hopewell; two sons, Vincent Richel of Rangeley, Maine, and Patrick Richel of Roselle Park ; eight grandchildren, Doreen, Beth, Dylan, Rebecca, Justin, Tanya, Arthur and Michael; and 11 great-grandchildren.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a hospice of the donor’s choice.
   Arrangements are by Lakeside Santee Funeral Chapel, Lakeside, Calif.
