Mildred Vaccaro

Mildred R. Vaccaro, 88, died Sunday, March 4, at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center at Morris Hall.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Hopewell 40 years and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., 37 years before moving to Lawrenceville in 1999.
   She was a former member of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church, Fort Lauderdale, and St. Alphonsis Church, Hopewell.
   Wife of the late James G. Vaccaro, mother of the late James G. Vaccaro Jr. and sister of the late Gigi Ruggieri, she is survived by three sons, Joseph Ruggieri Vaccaro of Steamboat Springs, Colo., David Anthony Vaccaro of Knoxville, Tenn., and John Francis Vaccaro of Matthews, N.C.; four daughters, Marie Veronia Vaccaro of Columbus, Mildred Anne Clancey of Nashville, Tenn., Margaret Elaine Slugocki of Fort Lauderdale and Jeanne Vaccaro Hassell of Hackettstown; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
   Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell.
   Arrangements were by the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.
