Raymond Palmer
   WEST AMWELL — Raymond E. Palmer, 67, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, at his home.
   Born in Stockton, Mr. Palmer lived in West Amwell for the past 15 years.
   He retired after 39 years from the maintenance department in 1996 from Hill Refrigeration in Trenton.
   He served in the Army. He was a member of the Hibernia Fire Company in Lambertville.
   Son of the late Michael A. and Alice Gordon Palmer, he is survived by his wife, Waldelene "Mickey" Green Palmer; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael S. and Beth Palmer of Quakertown, Pa.; Phillip L. Palmer of West Amwell; a daughter, Nancy Palmer of Titusville; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Marge Palmer of Stockton; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Henry Wheless of St. Augustine, Fla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Saturday at the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. Burial followed in Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Delaware Township.

Dorothy Hammond
   SOLEBURY, Pa. — Dorothy A. Hammond, 71, died Feb. 27 at Buckingham Valley Nursing Center.
   Born in Trenton, she lived in Solebury since 1965.
   Daughter of the late George and Margaret Reiner Ferry and wife of the late John J. Hammond Sr., she is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Deborah and Joseph Masterson Jr. of Lambertville, N.J., Judith and Kevin Fitzgerald of Holt, Fla., and Kathleen Hammond of Doylestown; two sons and daughters-in-law, John J. Jr. and Kelly Hammond of Little Silver, N.J., and Paul and Janet Hammond of Mount Laurel, N.J.; eight grandchildren, Eric, Tara, and Jason Masterson, Maurissa Hammond, John J. "Jack" Hammond III, Brianna and Kristin Pollock and Josie Hammond; and two sisters, Joan Schofield and Peg Husosky.
   Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Bridge Street, Lambertville.
   Burial was in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.

John P. Gillespie
   EAST AMWELL — John P. Gillespie, 82, died March 1 at home.
   Born in Berwick, Pa., he lived in East Amwell since 1960.
   He was a bricklayer and allied craftsman with Local 15, New Brunswick.
   He is survived by his wife, Brigitte Gillespie; a son, Patrick of East Amwell; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Michael Owens of California; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
   Burial was Monday in Highland Cemetery.
   Arrangements were under the direction of Cromwell Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St., Hopewell.
Louis H. Housel
   KINGWOOD — Louis H. Housel, 70, died Feb. 27 at Frenchtown Manor.
   Born in Hopewell Township, he lived in Delaware Township before moving to Kingwood many years ago.
   Mr. Housel retired five years ago as a dye mixer from Penn Color, Flemington.
   An Army veteran, he served in Europe during the Korean War.
   Son of the late Louis and Bertha Mae Burd Housel, he is survived by three daughters, Diana Bowencamp of Eureka, Calif., Melissa Eliason of White Salmon, Wash., and Lori Tranchida of Clovis, N.M.; a son, James of Eureka; six grandchildren; three sisters, Edith DeBlasio of Trenton, Cora Marie Loux of Doylestown, Pa., and Judy Atwood of Lambertville; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral will be private.
   Arrangements are by Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, Lambertville.
Theresa Leach
   LAMBERTVILLE — Theresa Leach, 89, died Saturday at Doylestown Manor, Pa.
   Born in Hungary, she lived in Morrisville, Pa., and Trenton before moving to Lambertville in 1947.
   She retired as a cashier with Acme Markets.
   She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville and its Mary Beth club and a past member of Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
   Wife of the late Herbert A. Leach, mother of the late Calvin A. Leach and daughter of the late Stephen and Marie Kish Jadlocki, she is survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Charles A. and Inez Leach of Vidalia, Ga., and Margaret Fry Leach of Lambertville; two granddaughters, Laura A. Simonsen of Felton, Del., Christine D. Hudgins of Sandown, N.H.; three great-grandchildren, Casey Hudgins and Meghan and Scott Simonsen; a special nephew, Jimmy Fry Jr. of Trenton; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Duane, Darren and Dawn Hudgins; and other relatives.
   Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York St., with the Rev. Daryl Wilson officiating.
   Burial will be in Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Township.
   Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until service Thursday at the funeral home.
