Olive G. Richmond
Olive G. Richmond, 83, died March 1 at Meadow Lakes, Hightstown.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, she moved to Princeton in 1946.
She attended Westminster Choir College. She was a member of Nassau Presbyterian Church and was active in the Princeton chapter of the American Red Cross.
Wife of the late James T. Richmond, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Linda Richmond of Hopewell Township and Bruce and Kathy Richmond of Corning, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Heather Richmond; and two grandsons, Eric and Charles Richmond.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Niles Chapel of Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau St., Princeton Borough.
Private burial will be in Princeton Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mather-Hodge Funeral Home.
Benjamin Carl Hillman
Benjamin Carl Hillman, 86, died Feb. 28 at the Merwick Unit of The Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Trenton, he was a longtime resident of Hopewell Township and Surf City. He graduated from Hopewell Township Central High School in 1934. An Air Force veteran, he served in the Pacific during World War II. Mr. Hillman retired from Princeton University Press after 47 years.
He was a 50-year member and past master of Hopewell Lodge 155, F&AM, and member of Ancient Accepted Order of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Trenton, and Crescent Temple Shrine AAONMS of Trenton. He was a 50-year member and past president of Hopewell Valley Lions Club and was named to the Melvin Jones Fellowship by Lions International.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edith Larson Hillman; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard Davis and Anna Johns Hillman of Hopewell Township; and two nephews, Barry Hillman and his wife Erika of Hamilton and Richard D. Hillman Jr. of Hopewell Township.
Funeral and burial were private.

William J. Suydam
William J. " Joe" Suydam, 72, of Spring Hill, Fla., died Feb. 27, at Brooksville Hospice House.
Born in Pennington to the late Melvin and Mary Brewer Suydam, he lived most of his life in Hopewell where he was a farmer, moving to Florida 13 years ago.
A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Suydam had worked for the Reading Railroad, had been a nurseryman with Harc and Clover Leaf Farms, and he retired from Princeton Nurseries.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred E. Suydam of Spring Hill; his son, William J. Suydam Jr. of Grandville, Mich.; twin daughters, Mary Soper and Maria Acreman, both of Spring Hill; brothers, Jacob Suydam of St. Augustine, Fla., and Paul Suydam of Spring Hill; sisters, Esther Deamer of Villas, and Elsie Forgan of Columbus; and six grandchildren.
Funeral was Saturday at Cromwell Memorial Home, Hopewell, with the Rev. Ken Robinson of Hopewell Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Ringoes.

Gail L. Gay
Gail L. Gay, 64, died Sunday at The Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Trenton, she was a longtime Hopewell resident.
She was a secretary with Mathtech, Princeton.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Thursday Night Women’s Bowling League at Hiohela Bowling Lanes.
Daughter of the late Christian and Hilda Haight Audesirk, she is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry Gay; two daughters, Cynthia Hammell of Hopewell Township and Heidie Gay of Hopewell Borough; a son and daughter-in-law, Christian Gay and Diane Engler of Ferndale, Pa.; two sisters, Hilda Courtney of Hamilton and Janice Stevens of Rochester, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Sara Hammell of Princeton and Jessica Gay of Ferndale, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
Prayer services were celebrated Wednesday at Cromwell Funeral Home, Hopewell, with the Rev. George Lynch officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Goshin, Ind.

Harry L. Allen
Harry L. Allen, 82, died March 1 at The Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Pennington resident.
He retired as a supervisor from ACME Markets of the Delaware Valley. Mr. Allen was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Hopewell Valley American Legion Post 339.
Son of the late Albert E. and Grace Hankins Allen, brother of the late Clifford and Norman, Florence Esche and Peggy Lenz, husband of the late Ethel L. Hicks Allen and father of the late Robert, he is survived by a son, Harry L. Jr. of Ewing; a daughter, Barbara Scheese of Pennington; a brother, Walter of Pennington; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and his companion, Paula Newman.
Funeral was Monday at Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington, with the Rev. James Hofacker, pastor of Pennington United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell.

Wilbert T. Overholt
Wilbert T. Overholt, 96, died Feb. 28 at Capital Health System at Fuld hospital, Trenton.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Titusville before moving to Ewing 26 years ago.
He retired in 1974 after 45 years as head farmer from Mercer County Workhouse. He was a member of Titusville United Methodist Church and its Golden Hours Club, and attended Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Ewing Township Live Wires, Cyrus Lodge 148 F&AM, Pennington, Scottish Rite Valley of Trenton, Crescent Temple, Artisans Order of Mutual Protection and ECHO Inc., Trenton.
Son of the late Wilmer B. and Mattie Buckman Trego and father of the late Janet R. Haga, he is survived by a son, Gene of Las Vegas; five grandchildren, Pam Crum of Ewing, Dorothy Daniel of Helskell, Tenn., Steve Haga of Auburn, Calif., Lori Hastings of Clovis, Calif., and Dean Overholt of San Mateo, Calif.; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Crum, Lauren and Katherine Hastings, Michael and Brian Haga and Beigh Jay Daniel; and his fiancee, Priscilla Smith of Trenton.
Funeral was Sunday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Hugh Smith III, pastor, officiating. Burial was private.

Marie McQuade-Ott
Marie McQuade-Ott, 68, of Whiting died Feb. 26 at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Born in Trenton, she was a longtime area resident before moving to Virginia and recently to Whiting.
Mrs. McQuade-Ott was a homemaker. She was a member of Hamilton DAV Chapter 41 and St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church.
Wife of the late Willard H. McQuade Sr. and mother of the late Michael J. McQuade, she is survived by her husband, Herbert Ott; a daughter and son-in-law, Monica M. and Larry A. Wagner of South Toms River; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Willard "Mack" H. McQuade Jr. of Hightstown and Matthew and Kim McQuade of Mercerville; a brother, Hank Murray of Fair Oaks, Calif.; two aunts, Anna Keuper of Whiting and Catherine Keuper of Pennington; six grandchildren, Jason Lovett, Michael and Christopher McQuade, and Jennifer, Larry and Michael Wagner; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass was celebrated Friday at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church, Hamilton. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Richard W. Rarich
Richard W. Rarich, 48, died Feb. 26 at Fox Acute Center, Warrington, Pa.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Rarich worked in the pay phone coin collection division at Bell Atlantic Co., retiring after 25 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. He graduated from Ewing High School in 1970.
He is survived by his parents, William O. and Elizabeth Smith Rarich of Ewing; a daughter, Elizabeth C. Rarich of Trenton; a son, Philip W. Rarich of Ewing; a sister and brother-in-law, Rae Anne and Robert S. Voorhees of Hamilton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert L. and Grace P. Rarich of Titusville and Randall S. and Karen N. Rarich of Belle Meade; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral was in Ewing Church Cemetery at the family’s convenience.

Louis H. Housel
Louis H, Housel, 70, died Feb. 27 at Frenchtown Manor.
Born in Hopewell Township, he lived in Delaware Township before moving to Kingwood many years ago.
Mr. Housel retired five years ago as a dye mixer from Penn Color, Flemington. An Army veteran, he served in Europe during the Korean War.
Son of the late Louis and Bertha Mae Burd Housel, he is survived by three daughters, Diana Bowencamp of Eureka, Calif., Melissa Eliason of White Salmon, Wash., and Lori Tranchida of Clovis, N.M.; a son, James of Eureka; six grandchildren; three sisters, Edith DeBlasio of Trenton, Cora Marie Loux of Doylestown, Pa., and Judy Atwood of Lambertville; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral was private.
