Wallace W. Kane
FLORENCE Wallace W. Kane, 72, died Feb. 27 at Rancocas Hospital, Willingboro.
He was a lifelong Florence resident.
Mr. Kane worked with Griffin Pipe Products Corp. for 48 years and had been a shop steward and union president. He previously worked with R.D. Woods.
He is survived by his companion, C. Tracy Lee of Burlington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl and Denise Kane of Miami and Tyshon Sr. and Vera Jammar of Killeen, Texas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Vivian and Ernest Henry of Willingboro and Lillian Chapman of Trenton; six grandchildren, Tabmu Kane of Augusta, Ga., Lashanno Kane of Annapolis, Ind., Tanira and Daryl Kane of Miami and Tyshon Jr. and Tysheika Jammar of Killeen; a great-grandchild, Demory Kane of Augusta; other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at W.R. Woody Funeral Home, Burlington.
Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Georgia M. Maney
NORTH HANOVER Georgia M. Maney, 80, died March 4 at Virtua-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
Born in Huntington, N.Y., she moved to Wrightstown in 1956.
She retired as a photographer from Morley Studios, McGuire Air Force Base.
She was a member of Wrightstown Methodist Church.
Wife of the late Billy Maney, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Georgia and Bill McClure of Browns Mills and Priscilla M. Maney of Mount Holly; a sister, Margaret Cornelius of Huntington; and two grandchildren, William Blair McClure and Georgia Elizabeth McClure.
The funeral will be 8 p.m. on March 8 at Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St., New Egypt.
Burial will be March 9 in Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y. Funeral procession will leave 10 a.m. on March 9 from the funeral home.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until time of service on March 8 at the funeral home.

Lois Hershberger
FLORENCE Lois Donnelly Hershberger, 72, died March 2 at home.
Born in Florence, she lived in Burlington before moving to Roebling in 1979.
She retired in 1986 after 16 years as a legal secretary from Burlington County Supreme Court. She previously worked as a legal secretary for Sever and Hardt, Burlington.
She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Florence, and was past secretary of its board of trustees.
She was a member and past officer of Florence American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 194 and Roebling VFW Post 8838 Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed bridge.
Daughter of the late Goodwin Jr. and Eleanor Fewkes Donnelly, she is survived by her husband, Milton J. Hershberger; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Bruce McElyea of Burlington Township; a son, Paul D. Hershberger of Roebling; a sister, Betty D. Hughes of Hanover, Pa.; and a grandson, Anthony Hershberger of Roebling.
The funeral was held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Florence.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements were by Dennison Funeral Home.

Frank Herdt
CHESTERFIELD Frank Herdt, 94, died March 1 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Yugoslavia, he lived in Crosswicks since 1951.
He owned Herdt Fencing Co. and was a member of the German American Society of Yardville and Donau Schwaben Verin.
Husband of the late Magdalena Herdt, son of the late Michael and Katerina Herdt and father of the late Katherina Mikkelsen, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Apollonia Herdt and Frantz and Josephine Herdt; a son-in-law, Aren Mikkelsen; his grandchildren, Mike and Cindy Mikkelsen, Mary Anna and John Zeiselmeier, Ingrid and Bob Schoen, Cathy and Tony Tozzi, Frank and Arlene Herdt, Karen and Richard Lanning, Linda and Tod Littleton, Barbara and Michael Galati and Susan Herdt; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters and a sister-in-law in Germany.
The funeral was held from Knott’s Colonial Funeral Home, Hamilton.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown.
Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Gloria Jane Horner
CHESTERFIELD Gloria Jane "Jennie" Jones Horner, 74, died March 3 at home.
A Burlington native, she lived in Burlington and Jacksonville most of her life.
Wife of the late Donald Horner and sister of the late Robert H. Jones, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Michael and Nancy Horner of Mount Holly, Patrick Bryan and Sherry Horner of Cookstown and Joseph and Maryanne Horner of Chesterfield; nine grandchildren, Lynn Marie Horner and Donald M. Horner Jr. of Browns Mills, Patrick B. Jr., Meghan M. and Timothy E. Horner all of Cookstown, Christopher and Charles Davis Bartz of Chesterfield, Gale Mack of Browns Mills and Gary Mack of Browns Mills; two sisters and a brother-in-law, E. Virginia and Robert Kennedy of Burlington and Merle Carty of Chesterfield; a sister-in-law, Ann Jones and her husband, Richard of Burlington; and a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Rose Marchese of Burlington.
Memorial service was held at McGee Funeral Home, Burlington.
Burial was in United States National Cemetery, Beverly.

Shirley Casley
Francis
BORDENTOWN CITY Shirley Casley Francis, 60, died Feb. 24 at Rancocas Hospital, Willingboro.
Born in Trenton, she attended Trenton and Bordentown public schools and graduated from MacFarland High School, Bordentown, in 1955.
Mrs. Francis worked with Atlantic Chain Inc., Burlington Coat Factory, All Seasons Service Inc. and PMG Service Inc., all in Burlington County. She was a cook with Cross Roads Programs Inc., Mount Holly.
She was a member of Mount Zion AME Church, Bordentown, and its stewardess board and pastor’s aide. She was a member of American Legion Post 336 Auxiliary and had been a Democratic committeewoman in Burlington County.
Daughter of the late Theodore P. Casley and Frances Rainer-Alexander, she is survived by her husband, Wilson B. Francis; a son and daughter-in-law, Ernest B. and Joan A. Casley; a granddaughter, Endia Casley, all of Atlanta; two stepsons, Tony Francis and his wife, Cynthia of Willingboro and William D. Francis of Browns Mills; two stepdaughters, Shiernell and Kim Francis of Willingboro; a stepbrother, Maxie Alexander; two uncles and aunts, Leon and Edna Rainer of Robbinsville and Clarence and Jean Rainer of Lawrenceville; five sisters-in-law, Florence Juniors, Esther Francis, Blanche Coleman, Glaydell Pownes and Beatrice Francis; two brothers-in-law, Clarence and Ronald Francis; and other relatives.
Funeral was held at Mount Zion AME Church, Bordentown, with the Rev. Jasper T. Daniels, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Bordentown Cemetery.

William J. Suydam
SPRING HILL, Fla. William J. "Joe" Suydam, 72, died Feb. 27 at Brooksville Hospice House.
Born in Pennington where he was a farmer, he moved to Florida 13 years ago.
Mr. Suydam worked with the Reading Railroad and retired from Princeton Nurseries. He was a nursery man with Harc and Clover Leaf Farms.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Son of the late Melvin and Mary Brewer Suydam, he is survived by his wife, Mildred E. Suydam; a son, William J. Jr. of Grandville, Mich.; twin daughters, Mary Soper and Maria Acreman of Spring Hill; two brothers, Jacob of St. Augustine and Paul of Spring Hill; two sisters, Esther Deamer of Villas and Elsie Forgan of Columbus and six grandchildren.
The funeral was held at Cromwell Memorial Home, Hopewell, with the Rev. Ken Robinson of Hopewell Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Ringoes.
Karen M. Parsons
TRENTON Karen M. Parsons, 44, died March 3 at home.
She was a lifelong Trenton resident.
She graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1974.
She worked for Wegman’s Food Market in West Windsor.
Ms. Parsons was a member of Capital Assembly of God Church, Hamilton.
She enjoyed cooking and music.
Daughter of the late Joseph J. and Laura M. Neeld Parsons and granddaughter of the late Mammie Neeld, she is survived by a daughter, Christine M. Titus of Trenton; a granddaughter, Monica; a sister and brother-in-law, Laura M. and Chris Ream of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two brothers and sisters-in-la, Joseph W. and Nanci Parsons of Lawrenceville and James W. and Deborah Parsons of Bordentown; an aunt, Helen Tomer; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. on March 8 at Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Ave.
Burial will be in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Hamilton.
Edith Holloway
Smith
MILFORD, Del. Edith Holloway Smith, 90, died March 3 at Bayhealth/Milford Memorial Hospital.
Born in Bordentown, she lived in Milford for more than 30 years.
She graduated from Illman School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania.
She retired in 1971 after 19 years as a teacher with Milford schools.
She previously taught in Frederica and New Jersey.
She was a member of Saxton United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Smith was the wife of the late Charles H. Smith.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. on March 8 at Rogers Funeral Home, 391 Lakeview Ave.
Burial will be noon on March 9 in Bordentown Cemetery.

Peter W. Bartos
LAWRENCE Peter W. Bardos, 65, died March 3 at Capital Health System at Mercer, Trenton.
Born in Trenton, he lived in Toms River before moving to Lawrenceville.
He retired in 1992 as an architectural engineer.
Son of the late James and Kanella Lorinis Bardos and brother of the late Florence Kolo, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Bardos-Young and Gregg Young of Plantation, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Constantine and Christine Bardos of Columbus; two sisters, Pauline Petrino of Lawrenceville and Elaine Vulgaris of Hamilton; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held from M. William Murphy Funeral Home, Hamilton.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.

Christopher D. Laine
TRENTON Christopher D. Laine, 46, died March 1 at home.
Born in West Palm Beach, Fla., he was a longtime area resident.
He worked for 20 years as a records technician with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Brother-in-law of the late John A., David G. and Francis C. Bodnar, he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Terri Lynn Bodnar; his parents, Jackie Burdette and John R. Laine of Florida; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Leslie Laine of Browns Mills and Trish and Bob Buker of Clinton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John of Yulee, Fla., and Carol and Michael Laine of Marlton; two brothers-in-law, and a sister-in-law, Joseph Bodnar of Trenton and Edward and Mary Kay Bodnar of Bordentown; four sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Glori Bodnar, Paulette Schmitt and Janet Bodbnar, all of Trenton, and Margaret and Bill Wigham of Hightstown; his mother-in-law, Stella Kaminski Bodnar of Trenton; a godchild; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The funeral was held at Bible Baptist Church, Hamilton. The Rev. Richard Emmons officiated.
