Weichert helps RELO gain sales

Early reports indicate Weichert was top contributor in 2000

James M. Weichert, president, announces that Weichert, Realtors
played a significant role in helping RELO, a network of independent real estate
brokers, reach over $240 billion in sales volume in 1999, according to a recently
completed market share study conducted by the network. Early reports also indicate
that Weichert was the top contributor to RELO in 2000.
"We believe these figures are higher than any other relocation network or
real estate franchise," noted Pam O’ Connor, RELO president and CEO. "While
few of our competitor groups publish their actual total sales volume, reliable
estimates can be determined based on other available data and MLS figures."
Member sales volume rose over 28 billion from the previous year as the result
of increased member productivity and market conditions. Even though 80 companies
were terminated for lack of relocation performance, RELO was able to reach these
extraordinary numbers with a smaller, but more effective, membership base. In
most cities, RELO members are among the top firms in market share.
According to statistics published in the Real Trends 2000 Big Broker Report, 35.8
percent of the sales volume of the top producing 100 firms in the country is generated
by RELO members, more than any other national company or network.
"We have proven once again that RELO members are the leading choice of
today’s residential real estate consumer," commented chairman of the board
Dick De Wolfe. "RELO has assembled an impressive collection of top-tier
firms whose numbers reflect the commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
which are so essential in today’s relocation marketplace. We salute Weichert,
Realtors for their hard work and commitment to the network."
RELO, a 35-year-old trademarked name, now represents the largest network of
leading independent real estate firms in the country, with nearly 900 member
companies, 85,000 associates and over $240 billion in collective sales volume,
more than any other relocation network or real estate franchise. RELO’s member
firms are widely recognized as the premier providers of quality relocation and
affinity services.
