Michael Riga, 72

   FLAGTOWN — Michael J. Riga died Feb. 26 at his
daughter’s home. He was 72.
   Born in Raritan he lived there most of his life, moving
to Hudson, Fla., in 1992.
   Mr. Riga was a pipe coverer for American Cyanamid in
Bound Brook for 28 years.
   He served in the U.S Coast Guard during the Korean War.
   He played semi-pro football on the Rambler’s team in
Somerville for seven years.
   Surviving are his wife, Elaine (Dunster) Riga; a son,
Michael of Scottsdale, Arizona; one daughter, Cheryl Gill of Flagtown;
three brothers, Anthony of Florida, Basil of Flemington and Michael
Giaquinto of Maryland; two sisters, Rose Innamorato of Bridgewater and Anna
Scrape of Raritan; and five grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held March 1 at Bongiovi Funeral
Home, Raritan, followed by a funeral liturgy at Mary, Mother of God Church
in Hillsborough. Entombment was in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Bridgewater.
Mary Ann Dolak, 94

   HILLSBOROUGH — Mary Ann Dolak died Feb. 26 at Robert
Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 94.
   Born in Slovakia, she lived in Manhattan, N.Y., before
moving to Hillsborough in 1942.
   Mrs. Dolak worked in housekeeping at Foothill Acres
Nursing Home in Hillsborough for many years before retiring in 1987.
   She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in East
Millstone, a member of Hillsborough Senior Citizens Chapter A and the AARP.
   Her husband, Martin Dolak, died in 1974; and her son,
Stephen Dolak, died in 1946.
   Surviving are her daughter, Helen Kalvites of
Hillsborough; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held March 2 at Hillsborough
Funeral Home, Hillsborough, followed by a Mass at St. Joseph’s Church.
Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.

Richard Roberts, 91

   HILLSBOROUGH — Richard David Roberts died Feb. 24 at
the Medical Center in Princeton. He was 91.
   He was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., and resided at
Westport, Litchfield and Goshen, Conn., for more than 65 years before
moving to Hillsborough.
   Mr. Roberts was employed by the State of Connecticut as
director of the Juvenile Court for 25 years. After his retirement in 1966
he became the Director of Connecticut Junior Republic in Litchfield for 13
years, leaving the post in 1979.
   He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Margaret (Rhodes)
Roberts, who died in 1996; a son, Richard David Roberts Jr., died in 1949;
and a brother, James.
   Survivors include one daughter, Sandra R. Roberts of
Hillsborough; one son, Dr. Richard of Iowa City, Iowa; and six
grandchildren.
   Funeral arrangements were private.
Regina Stillwagon, 88

   HILLSBOROUGH — Regina P. Stillwagon died March 2 at
home. She was 88.
   Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Lyndhurst before moving to
Hillsborough in 1971.
   She was a homemaker.
   Mrs. Stillwagon was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church
in East Millstone.
   Her husband, Elmer Stillwagon, died in 1971.
   Surviving are three sons, Paul F. of Warren, Donald P.
and Clifford G., of Hillsborough; a daughter, nancy M. Whited of Jackson;
seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. March 9 at
Hillsborough Funeral Home, Hillsborough. Burial will be in Sacred Heart
Cemetery, Hillsborough.
   Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. March 8 at the
funeral home.

Alice Gilmore, 93

   HILLSBOROUGH — Alice M. Gilmore died Sunday, March
4, in Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. She was 93.
   Born in Millstone, she lived in Hillsborough, then
Whiting, moved back to Hillsborough before moving to the Bridgeway Care
Center in Bridgewater four years ago.
   Mrs. Gilmore worked for J.P. Young Department Store in
New Brusnwick for 20 years, retiring in 1967.
   Her husband, Walter Gilmore, died in 1978.
   Surviving are her sister, Helen Mazey of Somerville, a
nephew; great-niece; and one great-nephew.
   A funeral service was held March 8
at Hillsborough Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Buurma officiating. Burial
will be in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brusnwick.
   Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. until time of funeral
services.
