Wilfred Smith, 77, died Thursday, May 24, at home.
Born in Baltimore and raised in Drakes Branch, Va., he lived many years in Princeton and Lawrenceville.
He attended Charlotte County public schools in Virginia.
He was a laborer and supervisor with Local 50, Princeton, and had been secretary and treasurer of the union.
Mr. Smith was a founding member of the Cavaliers Club of Princeton and was president of Lawrenceville Senior Citizens Club.
Son of the late Mable and Wilfred Smith and husband of the late Emma Smith, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and David Spaulding; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and LeAnne Smith of Lawrenceville and W. Tyrone and Cindy Smith of Seattle; a brother, Penny Atkins of Norwalk, Conn.; five grandchildren, Jared and Jalynn Spaulding, Kaynon Smith and Peyton and Evan Smith; and other relatives.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1581 Sixth St., Ewing, with Brother Thomas Freer officiating. Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until service at Kingdom Hall.
Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
