John A. Genovesi, 76, died Saturday, June 2, at Capital Health Systems at Fuld hospital, Trenton.
Born in Chicago, he was a longtime Lawrenceville resident.
He retired in 1990 from the state Department of Transportation and Skillman Rehabilitation Center.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Son of the late Nicholas Genovesi and Jean Perillo Ball and uncle of the late Edward DiNatale, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel Genovesi of Tinton Falls, and John and Lena Genovesi of Yardley, Pa.; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and William Flynn of Romney, W.Va.; a sister, Marie DiNatale of Robbinsville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two nephews, Charles DiNatale Jr. and James DiNatale; and aunts and uncles.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, the Rev. Edward Dougherty officiating.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the funeral home.
