   SPOTSWOOD — Teresa A. Shoblock, 73, died Tuesday, June 12, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in New Brunswick, she was a longtime Hightstown resident before moving to Spotswood several years ago.
   She was a production worker with Carter Wallace, Cranbury, retiring in 1971.
   She was a member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick.
   Ms. Shoblock is survived by three sons, Gerald L. Sr. of Willingboro, Gary J. of East Windsor and Richard J. Of New Egypt; a daughter, Clara Jean Holonics of Hamilton; a brothers, John Cotter of South River; a sister, Mary Ahearn of Edgewater; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
   Funeral was from Boylan Funeral Home, New Brunswick.
   Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church.
   Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
Antoinette Purcell
   RARITAN TOWNSHIP — Antoinette M. Purcell, 61, died Thursday, June 14, at home.
   Born in Kingston, Pa., she lived in Doylestown, Pa., before moving to Raritan Township 29 years ago.
   She graduated from the College of Misericordia, Dallas, Pa.
   She worked with the quality assurance division of Aventis Pharmaceutical, Bridgewater, since 1987 and had been a lab manager of the pathology department of Princeton Hospital seven years. She previously worked 10 years with Hunterdon Medical Center.
   Daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Bucholtz Wisnewski, she is survived by her husband of 36 years, George V. Purcell; two daughters, Dr. Susan Purcell of Ottsville, Pa., and Barbara Purcell-Shirk of Robbinsville; a son, Eric A. Purcell of Raritan Township; and a grandson, Nicholas of Ottsville.
   Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Magdalen Church, Flemington.
   Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington.
   Arrangements are by Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.
Harry Richardson
   HAMILTON — Harry A. Richardson, 79, of Mercerville, died Wednesday, June 13, at home.
   Born in Washington, he had lived in the Robbinsville-Allentown area all his life until moving to Mercerville 23 years ago.
   He was a World War II Army veteran and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Allentown, where he had served as Sunday school superintendent, member of its choir, a trustee and deacon of the church.
   He is survived by his wife of 54 years, M. Helen Richardson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas P. and Doreene Richardson of Roundup, Mont., and John K. and Margaret Richardson of Blackwood; a daughter, Barbara J. Pohler of Bordentown; a sister, Ruby Wells of Fort Collins, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
   Funeral service was held at the First Baptist Church of Allentown. The Rev. Ron Brady, pastor, officiated. Interment was in North Crosswicks Cemetery.
   Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Allentown Building Fund, 72 Waker Ave., Allentown, N.J. 08501.
   Arrangements are by Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
Joseph Maruski
   WASHINGTON — Joseph Maruski, 93, of Robbinsville died Wednesday, June 13, at home.
   Born in Hungary, he was a longtime area resident.
   He retired after 44 years with Crescent Wire Corp., Trenton.
   He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
   Son of the late Wendel and Rose Keleman Maruski and father of the late George and Joseph Jr., he is survived by his wife, Julia Gregus Maruski; two daughters, Barbara Ann Perri of Hope, R.I., and Julia E. Maruski of Robbinsville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steve of Hamilton Square and Frank of Paterson; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was private.
   Memorial service was held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Klockner Road, Hamilton, with Henry Sturgis officiating.
   Arrangements are by Mullen Funeral Home, Trenton.
Joan Stalcup Cox
   DUNEDIN, Fla. — Joan Stalcup Cox, 63, died May 27.
   Born in Trenton, she was a longtime area resident before moving to Florida several years ago.
   Daughter of the late Edgar and Thelma Stalcup, she is survived by Thomas Cox of Clearwater; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Deborah Cox of Levittown, Pa.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharyn and William Gaines of Hamilton, Melody and Juan Quinones of Levittown, and Tammy Cox of Dunedin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgar and Joyce Stalcup of Robbinsville, and Ronald and Peggy Stalcup of New Port Richey; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Bunny and George Martin of Hamilton and Karen Stalcup of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
   Memorial service was at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, Lawrence.
   Burial was private.

Barbara Jenkins
   ALLENTOWN — Barbara Ann Jenkins, 61, died Thursday, June 14, at Capital Health System at Mercer hospital, Trenton.
   Born in St. Augustine, Fla., she lived in the Allentown area more than 52 years.
   She was a graduate of Allentown High School.
   Mrs. Jenkins was a member of First Baptist Church of Eggerts Crossing, Lawrence.
   Daughter of the later Will and Sarah Shuman and sister of the late Sarah Ann Barnes, she is survived by her husband, Ralph T. Jenkins Sr.; two sons, Ralph T. Jenkins Jr. of Augusta, Ga., and William C. Jenkins of Allentown; a daughter, Maisha Jenkins of Allentown; a brother, Jerome Shuman of Washington, D.C.; and other relatives and friends.
   Memorial service was held at First Baptist Church of Eggerts Crossing, Lawrence, with the Rev. Johnnie Huff, pastor, officiating.
   There were no calling hours.
   Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
Paul C. Smith
   NORTH HANOVER — Paul C. Smith, 54, died Wednesday, June 13, at his sister’s home in Jacobstown.
   Born in Trenton, he was a life-long area resident.
   He retired after 28 years as a heavy equipment operator with the Ocean County Road Department.
   He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the New Egypt First Aid Squad and the North Hanover Rifle Association.
   He was a drag racing fan.
   Son of the late Byron, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tori Lynn and Matt Mendelsohn of Long Island, N.Y.; his mother, Jane Smith of Cream Ridge; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda A. Stevens of New Egypt and Nancy and Frank Paschal of Jacobstown; two granddaughters, Rebecca and Devon Mendelsohn; and cousins.
   The funeral was held at Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt, with the Rev. Horace Frantz officiating.
   Burial was in Jacobstown Cemetery.

Elizabeth C. Prieth
   TRENTON — Elizabeth C. Prieth, 72, died Sunday, June 10, at home.
   Born in Trenton, she lived in New Egypt for 30 years before moving to Trenton several years ago.
   She enjoyed playing the lottery and traveling to Atlantic City.
   Wife of the late Fred A. Prieth Jr., daughter of the late Albert Clowar and Jane Tierney, and sister of the late James Clowar, she is survived by a sister, May Engler Campbell of Hamilton; a brother-in-law, John Prieth, and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Noone, both of Robbinsville; three nieces, Alice Engler Hirst, with whom she lived, Catherine Foster and Elizabeth Giamblucca; five nephews, Richard A., August R., John, Frank and James Engler; and other relatives and friends.
   The funeral was private.
   There were no calling hours.
   Arrangements were by Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home.
James Karch
   HAMILTON — James E. Karch, 37 died Sunday, June 17, at his home.
   Born in Trenton, he had lived in the Yardville area all his life.
   He is survived by his parents, Richard A. Sr. and Doris Young Karch of Robbinsville; a brother, Richard A. Karch Jr. of Cream Ridge; a sister, Tina Polascak of Hamilton; and a niece and two nephews.
   Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Yardville.
   Interment was in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Township.
   Arrangements are under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home.
Gertrude Monk Madamba-DeRogatis
   BRICK — Gertrude Monk Madamba-DeRogatis, 91, died Saturday, June 16, at Brick Hospital.
   Born in Kearny, she lived in Cream Ridge and Orlando, Fla.
   A homemaker, she worked for several years as a telephone operator for New Jersey Bell.
   She was a member of Church of the Assumption, New Egypt.
   Wife of the late Antonio Q. Madamba, who died in 1965, and Frank DeRogatis, who died in 1977, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gloria Dawkins and John Dawkins of Cream Ridge; six sons and daughters-in-law, Antonio Q. Madamba Jr. and Johanna of Orlando, Fla., Victor H. Madamba and Rumiko of Japan, Patrick H. Madamba and Ruth of Venice, Fla., Orlando Madamba and Mary of Niceville, Fla., Thomas C. Madamba and Angela of Northfield, Henry J. Madamba and Barbara of Linwood; 22 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
   Cremation Service of Ocean, Brick, is in charge of arrangements, which will be private.
Sallie Caines
   PLUMSTED — Sallie Mae Caines, 87, of New Egypt, died Friday, June 15, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in South Carolina, she was a longtime area resident.
   She was a homemaker and member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, New Egypt.
   Wife of the late John Caines, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Raleigh and Marie Caines of Camden, S.C., and Robert and Jane Caines of New Egypt; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Fillweber of Cream Ridge and Betty Lou and Donald Parker of Camden, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
   Funeral was held at Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt, with clergy from Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses officiating.
   Burial was in Jacobstown Cemetery.

Josephine M. Horner
   LUMBERTON — Josephine M. Horner, 78 of Lumberton, died Thursday, June 14, at Arcadia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hamilton.
   Born in Upper Freehold, she lived most of her life in Burlington County.
   Wife of the late William G. Horner and mother of the late Susan Giles, she is survived by four sons, Bill of Florida, John of Pennsylvania, Michael of Bordentown and Christopher of Tennessee; a daughter, Betty Baxter of Alabama; a sister, Mary McFarlane of Lumberton; a brother, Charles Cottrell of New Egypt; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was held at Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown, with the Rev. Jay Rambo officiating.
   Burial was in Juliustown Methodist Cemetery.
