The Oceanport Pirates defeated the West Long Branch Mud Dogs 9-0 last week to win the EMSA Junior League Baseball Championship. The Pirates, who completed their season with an 11-1 record, relied on strong pitching and timely hitting in the championship game. They are coached by Gordan Elam.
