Blankets donated by Lakewood crochet club

Fair Lawn residents Saul Rochman and David Englander presented a $20,000 check to the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for Cystic Fibrosis on June 10.

Rochman is president of the New Jersey Pythian Charity Foundation and has been grand vice chancellor for the New Jersey domain for the past several years.

In addition, Lakewood resident Rochelle Bellask, wife of the grand prelate and immediate past president of the charity foundation, made a presentation of her own.

She represented the Lakewood Community School Social Club Crocheting Group and the Lakewood Community School Crocheting Guild, presenting 22 afghans with character animals on them to Patricia Carroll, executive director of the Children’s Hospital.

This is the second consecutive year Bellask made a presentation of afghans for children.
