The Count Basie Theatre "ASPIRE" Emerging Artist Development Program, 99 Monmouth St., Red Bank, will present three workshops in July. Course fee for the workshops is $40 each.
"Choosing Your Audition Song," a vocal workshop, will be given by Nancy Scharf on July 14 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Participants will be taught voice techniques, proper breathing and movement to accommodate a song.
A make-up workshop taught by Diane Chami will be presented July 21 from 1-3 p.m. The course fee includes instruction in techniques and a makeup kit.
Auditioning techniques, presented by Nick Montesano and Bob Cioffi, are scheduled for July 28 from 1-3 p.m. The directors will teach the basic how-to’s of auditioning for a drama or musical.
An August workshop is also scheduled, "Theatre Tech…101" will be presented by Michael Jacoby on Aug. 4 from 10 a.m.-noon.
